Directions: think about someone in our modern age (20th or 21st century) who could be considered a "modern Macbeth", according to your understanding of his character. you might need to do a little research. try to find at least one individual to specifically talk about. you can simply write AND/OR include a VENN DIAGRAM comparing/contrasting Macbeth with the "modern Macbeth" person.
MACBETH and TRUMP~
compare:
- Macbeth would have hallucinations of what he thought was right; Trump does what he actually believes is right, such as getting his way into things to try and build a border wall
- When Macbeth had something huge such as Duncan being killed in Macbeth's house, he continued to keep going on and did not let this distract him; Trump had a five-week government shutdown from various distractions he had come up with
contrast:
- Macbeth had pretended that he was all cheerful when Duncan first came to his place; Trump changes the way he talks for when it comes time to work opposed to talking about other things when off camera
- Macbeth used his powers as he had them, since he had become king and had all this power to do whatever he wanted, he used those powers he had to do whatever he wanted as king; Trump used his powers when it was given/granted to him, he was given his powers by the Constitution or Congress' cession of authority to the executive
